I have taken delivery of Panasonic dongle so I can connect to the internet. tv says wireless network connected, no gateway response, check connection and settings. How can I resolve this please. my laptop is working fine, so I know my broadband is operable. Smart TV connects to router, but not to the internet
To ensure that your specific networking equipment and all settings will work properly with your Panasonic Smart TV, please reach out to the manufacturer directly for further assistance. Some wireless routers broadcast a dual-band wireless signal and provide both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks. However Internet access itself seems to be achieved with an App (Viera Cast?) that has limited functionality. There are some separate Web pages on the Panasonic site advising on using this. As an aside, for this task, having just a TV Remote Controller is a struggle and it is better using a keyboard recommend by the TV Maker.
Try to plug directly into the TV again and look for it in the DCHP client list in the LAN settings page of your router. If your router is giving it an IP then it has to be with the TV itself. I found a firmware update page for your TV. You can put it on a USB drive and plug it into the TV and update it. Just follow the instructions on the link.
